Star Wars actors are a part of an extremely secretive group more so than perhaps any other movie franchise currently filming or in development. This is mainly due to the extensive non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements they need to sign, which is the reason you don't hear or read about official news for STAR WARS EPISODE VIII and you're left with reading so many rumors online.
But sometimes actors are told to slip in a few teases and hints in interviews with the media and Finn actor John Boyega did just this while speaking with Variety. The actor teased director Rian Johnson's vision for the film.
"It’s a different take, darker, bigger."
Boyega went on to tease about his relationship with Rey, which he hints is a growing romance between the two characters.
"Finn and Rey – they’re just friends. Finn is a storm trooper, so he doesn’t really know what’s going on. So the romance thing is something that’s going to be interesting in the next installment. It’s not going to go the way you think it’s going to go."
These might not be much of a tease but they're teases nevertheless.
STAR WARS EPISODE VIII releases on December 15, 2017.
