The Marvel fan base was a buzz last weekend as Marvel Studios officially confirmed its main cast of THOR: RAGNAROK last Friday. Joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe is actor Karl Urban, who is best know as 'Bones' in the Star Trek franchise and the lead in JUDGE DREDD.
While doing his press tour for STAR TREK BEYOND, Urban spoke with IGN and teased his role in Ragnarok as Skurge, a.k.a. the Executioner.
“I read a fantastic script that was action-packed and full of great characters. When I heard who was involved — and the cast list dropped yesterday — and [saw] the opportunity to work with [director] Taika Waititi, who I think is one of the most brilliant directors coming through, I made the decision it was something that I wanted to be a part of. And the character [of Skurge] is fantastic. He's got a great arc to him. Obviously I can't say too much about it, but I'm really thrilled to be a part of the Marvel universe and to be working on Thor: Ragnarok.”
THOR: RAGNAROK begins filming this summer in Australia and releases on November 3, 2017.
