Even though these photos are beautiful... they are too beautiful and too close-up where you get the feeling in your gut that this might have been staged. So we are calling shenanigans on this story of a group of urban explorers looking for a set piece for STAR WARS EPISODE VIII and finding the set with the Millennium Falcon. Maybe this story is true but the fact these explorers were climbing inside and on top of the Falcon makes this story just that much harder to believe.
So we are going to say that the likely story here is that Disney and Lucasfilm are performing a marketing stunt allowing these photos to be taken and "leaked" online. There's conveniently no spoilers revealed and the only thing exposed on this set piece is exactly what Disney wants you to see.

So there was no security present at all hours of the day at this set and two people were able to get this close-up without notice? Hard to believe especially when they claimed this was first thing in the morning and the shadows look like these photos were taken in mid-day. Plus the fact that they crawled inside of the Falcon and took photos makes this story sound even more unlikely.
This gets even harder to believe when you then realize nothing else was revealed on set. As you can see in the next set image, all the speeders and other ships were perfectly wrapped and covered.
Again, maybe this is a real story but these images are too good to be true. Sure the photos are gorgeous and show off the fantastic detail put into the exterior of the Millennium Falcon, but this still feels like a publicity stunt to generate some buzz online and on social media. And if this is indeed the case, we honestly don't care because seeing a STAR WARS EPISODE VIII set this close is pretty amazing.
