X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Debuted This Weekend as the No. 1 Movie in the World Bringing in $103 Million Overseas
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE does not release domestically until this Friday, but it has launched in many market overseas and it is the No. 1 box office earner in the world this weekend bringing in an estimated $103 million.
This is a great sign for the latest installment of the X-Men franchise despite mixed reviews that has it currently sitting low at 51-percent on RottenTomatoes.
Domestically, the extended holiday weekend starting this Friday will help the movie do some big numbers. It's stiffest competition will come from ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, which opens too, as well as fellow Marvel super hero movie CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
