At the end of April, news broke that co-writer and director Seth Grahame-Smith had parted ways with Warner Bros. and DC Films due to "creative differences" with THE FLASH. That was the beginning of a huge restructuring of the creatives behind the expanding DC Extended Universe. Now that the dust has started to settle a new director has emerged for THE FLASH.
According to Deadline, director Rick Famuyiwa has landed the job of bringing THE FLASH to the big screen. Famuyiwa wrote and directed DOPE but it's not known if he will take on any assumed re-writes to Grahame-Smith's script, which was based on a treatment by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
THE FLASH will star Ezra Miller in the title role and releases on March 16, 2018.
