Right now, is there any comic book movie that has hit so many snags and delays than GAMBIT has?
Nope.
After multiple production delays and director changes for various reasons, GAMBIT seems like it may finally be on-track to begin shooting in spring 2017. At least this is according to producer Simon Kinberg, who disclosed this information per the YouTube channel, That Hashtag Show.
“We have a great script [for GAMBIT] and hope to shoot that movie at the beginning of spring of next year.”
Kinberg, also confirmed DEADPOOL 2 will begin filming at the beginning of 2017 and issued a tiny updated on the next big X-Men movie.
"The first thing up, we’re shooting the Wolverine movie right now and we start shooting Deadpool 2 at the beginning of next year, then I sit down and start writing the next of the mainline X-Men movies."
Sounds like both DEADPOOL 2 and GAMBIT will be the films that claim Fox's currently untitled Marvel release dates already set on March 2, 2018 and June 29, 2018.
