With the Movie in Limbo it Sounds Like AGENTS OF SHIELD Will Get Some Classic INHUMANS Now

Marvel's INHUMANS once had a release date but then got pushed back followed shortly thereafter by being pulled off the Marvel Studios schedule completely. For whatever the true reason, it's all rumor and speculation right now.

Then there's AGENTS OF SHIELD showrunner Jed Wheden telling io9 they're now able to bring some classic Inhuman characters into the show.

"'We do have a little more freedom,' said Jed Whedon. 'We’ve told a couple of seasons of stories but now we do have some more freedom. So when we return to focusing on Inhumans, we’ll be able to do a little bit more.' That freedom, Whedon and Tancharoen said, included being able to use some of the classic Inhumans."

It is unknown if this means Inhuman royalty like Black Bolt, Medusa or even Lockjaw could come to AGENTS OF SHIELD, but at the very least it sounds like the character availability leash has been loosened. However, anything is possible when it comes to AGENTS OF SHIELD as seen with last week's reveal at San Diego Comic-Con that Ghost Rider is coming to the show this fall in Season 4.

In the end, AGENTS OF SHIELD has moved back an hour in its ABC schedule, on Tuesdays. This time slot is known as a death slot because many shows have been canceled after moving into this 10 p.m. Eastern slot. The addition of Ghost Rider and some classic Inhumans is really starting to sound like an attempt to bring the ratings up.

With Ghost Rider and Inhumans on board, AGENTS OF SHIELD most definitely has the attention of DailySuperHero.com and more so than since its Season 1 series premiere.
