Was the Joker Imposter Batman Suit Cut Out From SUICIDE SQUAD?

A few weeks back during San Diego Comic-Con 2016, at the Sideshow Collectibles booth, a new Hot Toys premium figure was revealed for SUICIDE SQUAD. This figure was of Jared Leto's Joker posing as an Imposter Batman.

If you missed our photos from the SDCC booth, here they are to refresh your memory...

Now that SUICIDE SQUAD is out in theaters, breaking August box office records opening to over $267 million worldwide, reports have been coming out about many of the deleted scenes from the theatrical cut. Leto has also told the media he shot more Joker scenes than seen in the movie, while sounding a little upset that many of those scenes were left out.

So, could one of those Joker scenes that got cut have been of him as Imposter Batman?

Hot Toys doesn't just put out movie-related figures just because they want to. These things need to be approved by the studio, producers, director and often times by the actor to ensure the likeness is spot-on. Plus, Hot Toys focuses on premium figures based on movie characters and they don't create alternate versions of characters in their 1/6 scale line since the costs and retail price are so expensive and usually over $200 per figure.

So we will ask again... was Joker Imposter Batman cut out of SUICIDE SQUAD? Or was it just all coincidence and this suit was never actually in the movie?

Perhaps we will never know because, right now, we have no valid proof if there was a scene with this costume in the movie. However, it also seems very plausible a scene with Joker Imposter Batman was cut out since Leto seems very unhappy Joker's role was dramatically reduced.
