First of all, mad props to director James Mangold for keeping things really quiet while filming the R-rated WOLVERINE 3. Sure, there's been a few photos that hit the web, several weeks back, but Mangold has kept WOLVERINE 3 out of the news wires when it comes to leaks from the set and any plot or big character reveal scoops from making the headlines.
Sure, WOLVERINE 3 might still make some headlines before info is officially announced by 20th Century Fox, however, it's rare to see hardly any information about any highly anticipated super hero movie this far into its production schedule.
Anyway, the only new info about actor Hugh Jackman's final turn as Logan and Wolverine that is now catching some headlines is something Sir Patrick Stewart told to the website itv.com.
"I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it's the end, it's over."
So this could be the last turn in these iconic roles for both Jackman and Stewart? It's hard to not feel a little sad at this revelation.
Stewart, then, went on to tease his latest version of Professor X in WOLVERINE 3 as being something fans have yet to see.
"A very different Charles Xavier, that's all I'm allowed to say. Nothing like the Charles Xavier you've seen in the past."
Of course Stewart is being extremely vague and, again, bravo to Mr. Mangold for keeping this movie a secret (so far) to surprise fans.
But can we at least get an official movie title already? Pretty please!
WOLVERINE 3 releases on March 3, 2017.
