AQUAMAN Rumored to be Filming in Australia

Not much has been said about when and where Warner Bros. and DC Films' AQUAMAN will shoot. But with its July 28, 2018 release date already set, it was always safe to say the Jason Momoa movie would film sometime in 2017.

Now, according to The Daily Telegraph, via ComicBook, AQUAMAN is said to start pre-production in Australia later this year, and before Christmas, with what is assumed to be a filming start date in the first half of 2017. Recently, Warner Bros. has started filming their DC movies approximately 16 months prior to each film's respective release date. If this holds true, look for AQUAMAN to start filming sometime in late winter or early spring 2017.

Where exactly in Australia is unknown and that has not been disclosed, at the time this article posted, but it is assumed to be filming at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast in Queensland. However, Marvel Studios is currently filming THOR: RAGNAROK at Village Roadshow so AQUAMAN may need to wait to start principle photography until the rival studio finishes up in the coming months.
