It seems that Netflix and Marvel's PUNISHER series is further along in its development than you may have thought. According to TVLine, actor Ben Barnes has been cast as a series regular and allegedly as Bobby Saint, who is a criminal prodigy in recent adapted incarnations.
If Marvel's PUNISHER is already casting actors the series could be ready to shoot soon, but it still seems probable that PUNISHER might not be ready to debut on the streaming service until sometime in 2018.

HANNIBAL writer Steve Lightfoot will serve as PUNISHER showrunner.
