According to Le Journal De Montreal, via Den of Geek, 20th Century Fox is returning to the city for the third time to film a big Marvel movie. Seeing as how X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and X-MEN: APOCALYPSE recently shot there it was quick to assume it would be the next X-Men ensemble movie follow-up.
However, writer and director Josh Boone pretty much confirmed the Marvel mutant movie would in fact be his own ensemble movie, NEW MUTANTS.

So there you go. Fox is going all-in with the filming community in Canada next year and will begin production on DEADPOOL 2 in early 2017 in Vancouver, and then they begin filming NEW MUTANTS in Montreal in May.
NEW MUTANTS is still without a confirmed release date but it seems like the film could land the reserved release date Fox has set aside for an untitled Marvel movie on June 29, 2018.
