DEADPOOL 2 screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been making the rounds visiting talking with other websites about their progress on the sequel's script — they are still working on finalizing it — as well as teasing which supporting character will return.
In an inteview with Nerdist, Wernick confirmed Deadpool's cab driver buddy Dopinder will return.
“I would say that the relationship between Dopinder and Deadpool was the most fun for me. I love that relationship and I love that character. And he’ll be in the sequel.”
In a different interview, with Collider, the writers also confirmed that fans will see the return of both Colossus as well as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
"PAUL WERNICK: I can’t say how much they are…
RHETT REESE: I think we can say. Yeah, they’ll be in the sequel.
WERNICK: Yeah, they’ll make at least an appearance."
DEADPOOL 2 will reportedly be filming in Vancouver in the coming months while Fox has yet to set an official release date for the sequel.
