On March 17, fans will be introduced to the fourth and final member Marvel's THE DEFENDERS team when IRON FIST premieres exclusively on Netflix. Actor Finn Jones is playing the title role as Danny Rand.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Jones did some teasing about his character leading up to its debut on the streaming service. (We have transcribed his quotes below from page 33 of EW's print issue.)
"This is my version of Iron Fist, this is [showrunner] Scott Buck's and Netflix's and Marvel TV's version of Iron Fist. We are dealing with an entity that is in and of itself. He's a child trapped in a man's body. He's an incredibly fierce warrior, but he doesn't know who he is. [The] IRON FIST [series] is like Danny in his adolescence, and THE DEFENDERS [series] is like Danny taking responsibility and moving forward with his purpose."
You're about to see a lot of Jones as Rand this year as IRON FIST releases in March and then he returns this summer when THE DEFENDERS ensemble mini-series event hits Netflix.
"Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist."
