Take this rumor report with a grain of salt because 20th Century Fox has not commented on the next X-Men ensemble movie, as of the publishing of this post. However, according to the website My Entertainment World, via ComicBookResources, a synopsis for X-MEN: SUPERNOVA may have been revealed.
Here's the rumored synopsis:
"Gathered together by Professor Charles Xavier to protect a world that fears and hates them, the X-Men had fought many battles, been on adventures that spanned galaxies, grappled enemies of limitless might, but none of this could prepare them for the most shocking struggle they would ever face. One of their own members, Jean Grey, has gained power beyond all comprehension, and that power has corrupted her absolutely! Now they must decide if the life of the woman they cherish is worth the existence of the entire universe!"
This rumor report claims X-MEN: SUPERNOVA would begin filming in Montreal this June. Again, Fox has not confirmed any of this but, based on this rumored synopsis, it appears that James McAvoy and Sophie Turner would be reprising their roles as Charles Xavier and Jean Grey, respectively.
Stay tuned because if any of this is true then Fox will surely make an official announcement about X-MEN: SUPERNOVA sooner than later.
