SUPERGIRL Season 2 Episode 11 Review: The Martian Chronicles

Last week ended on a big note with Kara and Mon-El, who find a hard time going back to being friends after his confession last week. However, after Kara says she doesn't feel the same, he tries to move on.

To make matters worst, Alex asks to ditch her sister’s earth birthday (The day she arrived) to go to a concert with Maggie, which Kara pretends to be okay about.

Hank has been following Megan since she told him that White Martians were coming and shows up in the alley of the bar. More than that, one pops up and attacks them. Luckily, Supergirl fights him off and he runs away.

The White Martian shows up again in human form and his conversation with Megan reveals that he was her husband until it ended with her trying to kill him. Ever the martyr, Megan tries to run but Hank convinces her to stay so they can help her.

When Hank brings Megan back to the DEO, they're about to brief her on their intel when another Megan shows up. The one Hank brought was a white Martian disguised as Megan. The White Martian escapes and Hank puts the DEO on lock down with everyone inside, including Alex who came to check on Kara.

Hank tells them that if they all put their hand to the fire, a Martian’s true form is revealed if they are disguised as someone else. It turns out that White Martian has took on the disguise as Winn. He escapes again and this time sabotages the reactor that powers the building to blow them all up. They split up and search the DEO for Winn. After a tender moment between Hank and Megan they find Winn but also Alex. It turns out another White Martian shape-shifted into her. After Kara’s heart to heart she isn't happy at being tricked.

Hank gets Winn to the core reactor to fix it while he battles Megan’s ex. Supergirl is about to kick fake Alex’s butt but Hank needed a little help from Megan who drove a pipe through her ex’s throat. That was probably very cathartic for her.

Kara and Alex makes up after Kara reveals she felt like they were drifting apart since Alex started her new relationship with Maggie. Alex also brings up the fact that she is overcompensating for her earth birthday by avoiding her feelings for Mon-El.

Megan decides to leave after all to try and help other White Martians who don't approve of the whole killing other people thing. I have a feeling this isn't the last we see of the Martian people or even Miss Martian herself. Perhaps she can shed some light on Mon-El’s past if she returns. We already know that another white Martian let him go.

Kara doesn't get to tell Mon-El about how she truly feels because he already moved on. With the office chick he hooked up with when he first arrived. Although it doesn't exactly seem like a lasting relationship, it's disappointing Mon-El couldn't even wait a week. Sadly, Kara seems to be the most unlucky in love character on this show.

We finally get to see the Luthor’s next week with the matriarch trying to pull Lena to the dark side (Called it). Perhaps if the Luthor’s get too out of line Supergirl will call in her cousin for backup.
