Yesterday, Warner Bros. officially announced that Matt Reeves is the director of THE BATMAN (see story link below). Reeves is replacing Ben Affleck in the director's chair although there was no mention of Affleck reprising his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman in in yesterday's press release. This caused concern for some fans.
No worries though as Affleck has tweeted out a welcoming message to Reeves.

Two days in a row of positive Batman news! That's very refreshing after weeks of rumors and drama reports surrounding this highly anticipated movie. (And that's not me being a sarcastic asshole because I am seriously burnt out when it comes to reporting on the drama surrounding some DC superhero movies.)
THE BATMAN is currently in development and rumored to start filming at some point in 2017.
