Here's the Bullet Points You Need to Know From SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Set Visits

Today is the day several websites have unleashed set visit reports for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. And we give you the most important bullet points you need to know about the third reboot of the Spider-Man franchise.

These bullets points have been curated from Collider, so if you don't want to know further details then here's your SPOILER ALERT!

  • The movie takes place a few months after the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
  • Peter Parker is trying to figure out how he can live two lives: one as a high school student and the other as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
  • The new Spider-Man suit provided by Tony Stark in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will have "training wheels" which allows Stark to limit what Parker can do with the suit but when those "training wheels" are turned off, Parker learns about all the fun tech Stark included in the suit.
  • Stark has created the Department of Damage Control which takes over cleaning up messes left from superhero battles. Unfortunately, this means Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. the Vulture played by Michael Keaton, is out of a job because his salvage company was the one who did that work previously.
  • Toomes' company, and his associates, scavenge alien tech and debris which is how the Vulture suit is made as well as how the Shocker gets his weapons, all courtesy of the Tinkerer.
  • There will be a John Hughes-like tone throughout since this is a coming-of-age story for Parker.
  • There will be a mentor and mentee-like relationship between Stark and Parker; as seen in its two trailers already.
  • The movie begins at the beginning of Parker's sophomore year.
  • Prior to CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Parker has been fighting street-level crime in his homemade Spidey suit for approximately 4–6 months and that suit does play a role in this movie too.
  • There will be a flashback to Parker right after the Team Iron Man v. Team Cap battle in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.
  • There will be a conversation about Uncle Ben but the total origin story you know well won't be told for a third time in movie form.
  • No references to other "street level" New York heroes like Daredevil or any of Netflix's Defenders heroes. (Note: It's still not really connected as they claim.)
  • No mention of Norman Osborn or OsCorp as well as no mention of The Daily Bugle either.
