First WONDER WOMAN Reviews Are In and the Critics Love It!

Finally!

Warner Bros. needed to catch a break when it comes to movie critics and their views of DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movies. Sure, fans flocked to the theaters worldwide to see MAN OF STEEL, BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and SUICIDE SQUAD, helping these movies to make lots of box office cash, but these films received review scores of 55-percent, 28-percent and 25-percent, respectively, on RottenTomatoes.com.

The review embargo for WONDER WOMAN has now lifted — we here at DailySuperHero.com see the movie at our press screening tonight so our review is coming very soon — and the critics love her solo movie! So we will say it again... FINALLY!!

Here's snippets of some of the reviews as WONDER WOMAN sits with a 96-percent, 49 fresh and 2 rotten reviews, right now on RottenTomatoes when this article was published. (Click on the source links to read their full reviews.)

"The DCEU's game gets raised. Gadot is a godsend, Pine charms, and Jenkins delivers old-school thrills with heart and conviction." -- Total Film
"Gadot turns in a terrific display as the titular protagonist, carrying an infectious sense of optimism and wide-eyed wonderment, while ensuring it never once cheapens her sheer power and ability to fight." -- HeyUGuys
"Gal Gadot has an adventure all her own - and all kinds of awesome - in Wonder Woman, a superheroine film brimming with majesty, action and heart." -- Comic Book Resources
"If Gal Gadot's all-too-brief appearance in Batman v Superman was promising, she fulfills that potential and then some in Wonder Woman." -- Mashable
"It's a film that not only improves upon many of the seemingly built-in shortcomings of superhero movies, but also mixes smarts, sentiment and adrenaline in the best Hollywood style." -- TheWrap
"Like the heroine at its center, Wonder Woman the movie rises with powerful grace above the noise. It's not perfect, but it's often good, sometimes great and exceptionally re-watchable." -- AP
"Jenkins' feature flips back through time to deliver an origin story that functions beautifully on its own while also bolstering excitement for the franchise's future." -- indieWire
"This origin story, with its direct and relatively uncluttered trajectory, offers a welcome change of pace from a superhero realm that's often overloaded with interconnections and cross-references." -- THR
"Wonder Woman is coming out at a good time. This is the movie a lot of us need right now and Wonder Woman is the hero we all kind of need right now." -- Uproxx

And here's one of the negative reviews.

"Gadot is entirely credible as the embodiment of Amazonian perfection, but there's only so much emotion her concerted brow-furrowing can convey." -- Guardian

WONDER WOMAN releases in the U.S. on June 2.
