A few weeks back the first WONDER WOMAN projections for its domestic opening weekend hit the web and it was tracking to be the lowest DC Extended Universe (DCEU) opening when compared to MAN OF STEEL, BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and SUICIDE SQUAD with an estimated $65 million.
Now that reviews are hitting, WONDER WOMAN is sitting with a magnificent review score of 97-percent on RottenTomatoes.com, as of the publishing of this post. Sure, fans know to go see a movie despite what reviews say, but the fact remains that bad reviews decrease optimism and interest in seeing a film in a theater. With a score in the upper 90s, WONDER WOMAN will get a lot of positive word-of-mouth and this helps for return viewings as well as acts as encouragement for anyone who might still be on-the-fence about seeing it on the big screen.
But getting back to the point, previous tracking had WONDER WOMAN opening here in the U.S. to the tune of an estimated $65 million and with all the positive reviews this number has increased to the $75 million to $85 million range and potentially pushing over $90 million. Also, according to Deadline, WONDER WOMAN is projecting a worldwide opening total estimate of $175 million-plus.

WONDER WOMAN begins U.S. screenings Thursday night June 1 with a full theatrical rollout on Friday June 2.
