San Diego, Cali. -- Starting next year they'll be new addition to Cw’s DCTV. One of the first black superheroes in comics, BLACK LIGHTNING will be coming to the small screen.
Joining Cress Williams as the titular metahuman, will be James Remar as his father figure and mentor Gambi. Damon Gupton will also be an addition to the cast as a head detective who will be butting heads with the superhero.
With this show joining the ranks of the other DC shows, they'll no doubt be room for crossovers for all of our superheroes and perhaps another super DC event.
“Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: He hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hellbent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.”
