SDCC 2017: BLACK PANTHER Footage Synopsis and a Gorgeous Movie Poster

San Diego, Cali. -- As they usually do, Marvel Studios lit up the San Diego Comic-Con crowd in Hall H Saturday night. And of all their announcements, their new movie poster for BLACK PANTHER and footage shown for next year's movie may have been one of the biggest moments.

While I was not inside of Hall H to capture fan reactions as they came out of the presentations (see video embed below), here is a synopsis of the BLACK PANTHER footage:

T'Challa and his two guards, Okoye and Nakia enter a casino and Everett Ross notices them as well as Ulysses Klaue entering with entourage of his goons. Ross asks Klaue if he brought the diamonds in exchange for some Vibranium and Klaue pulls them out from inside his pants, which grosses out Ross.

Okoye and Nakia have an eye on Klaue and Ross and when one of Klaue's goons comes at Okoye, she throws off her wig (as she was in disguise) and pulls out her spear to attack. T'Challa protects Ross as guns begin firing and he then goes after Klaue, who unveils his new artificial, weaponized arm and fires at T'Challa.

In another moment, T'Challa is running from a car and his suit seemingly transitions into his Black Panther suit as he flips onto the back of the vehicle.

Next, are scenes shown of the fake front that is Wakanda looking poor and without their advanced technology. T'Challa is then seen in ritual combat with his voiceover talking about wanting to be a great King. He is then seen in the United Nations, the object of lots of photos.

One of Wakanda's advanced planes is seen with Black Panther dropping out of it taking on a bunch of armed bad guys, easily.

Back to the previous car chase, where Black Panther is leaping from car to car and Okoye throws her spear into the ground stopping the vehicle they are in pursuit of, which nearly slices the car into two pieces.

Finally, a moment between Killmonger and T'Challa. Killmonger dons a golden-like Black Panther suit and the two begin to fight.

And here's the new poster that might be one of Marvel Studios' best yet...

BLACK PANTHER releases in the U.S. on February 16, 2018.
