Before you think this might be some sign of some trouble with CAPTAIN MARVEL, we are going to stop you right now. This has become more-or-less of a standard practice with most big budget movies. A new set of eyes are brought on to take a look at the script, give it some re-writes to clean it up and make sure it's the best it can be before heading into filming and full production.
According to Deadline, Marvel Studios has brought on writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet to give it a final look before the movie starts filming in early 2018. Robertson-Dworet comes on board after the current draft of the script was co-written by Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman. LeFauve had to leave the project due to another directing gig, so it was the perfect time to bring in fresh eyes.
Happy to confirm my pal Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be the next writer to help guide #CaptainMarvel's journey to the screen. She's stellar!— Nicole Perlman (@Uncannygirl) August 15, 2017
CAPTAIN MARVEL stars actress Brie Larson in the title role as Carol Danvers, will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and releases in the U.S. on March 8, 2018.
