If there is one thing to love about the TEEN TITANS GO! animated series — and I know, I know most Teen Titans fans prefer the older animated series — it's how irreverent it can be poking fun at itself, fans, and parts of the DC Comics universe. It's almost like they're a much lighter version of Deadpool, who makes fun of everything and everyone.
Speaking of Deadpool, yesterday was the final trailer for DEADPOOL 2 and in it actor Ryan Reynolds took a shot at the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) in a moment when Wade Wilson is fighting Cable.
Well, as we all should know by now, Reynolds was in the DC movie universe (although not the DCEU) as he starred in GREEN LANTERN. The Twitter account for this summer's TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES animated movie took notice to the joke in the DEADPOOL 2 trailer and fired a shot back at Reynolds...
Hey @VancityReynolds, caught your new @deadpoolmovie trailer. Never forget - before you became a @Marvel character, you were a part of the @DCComics universe. #TeenTitansGOMovie pic.twitter.com/vmrBms0I8h— Teen Titans GO Movie (@TeenTitansMovie) April 20, 2018
Well played! Let's hope this sparks a Twitter war between Deadpool and the Teen Titans because that could be fun.
