Writer and director James Gunn likes to go weird. This has been seen over his career from his days with Troma to his GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY franchise. Now he wants things to get even weirder in DC's THE SUICIDE SQUAD.
According to THR, actor David Dastmalchian (THE DARK KNIGHT, ANT-MAN) has been cast as what could be one of DC's weirdest villains, Polka-Dot Man.
If you are not familiar with this villain, you are not alone. Polka-Dot Man wears a spotted outfit and loves to commit spot-based crimes. His thing is spots, and he has an arsenal of gimmicky spot-like weaponry.
Also according to THR, there will be other villains joining Polka-Dot Man including: Ratcatcher (female villain who controls rats), Peacemaker (bad guy who loves peace so much he will kill for it), and King Shark.
So yeah... this movie is gonna be very weird.
THE SUICIDE SQUAD releases on August 5, 2021.
