SAN DIEGO, Cali. -- Marvel Studios has revealed their Phase Four slate of film and to start it all off in next May is BLACK WIDOW, with Scarlett Johansson reprising her role in the prequel film. Brief footage was teased at Comic-Con this past weekend and the biggest reveal in the footage is that fans will see what went down in Budapest, as discussed in past movie between Black Widow and Hawkeye. (Hawkeye is not confirmed to be in this movie according to Marvel's cast announcement).
The movie will see David Harbour as the Marvel character Red Guardian (Russia's Captain America knock-off), Florence Pugh as fellow Red Room trained assassin Yelena Belova, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz joining Johansson but the biggest announcement was that the villain Taskmaster will be in the movie.
In fact, Marvel Studios released the following concept art piece of Black Widow fighting Taskmaster...
If you're not familiar with Taskmaster, he has abilities to mirror the actions of anyone so he can fight them using their own moves.
BLACK WIDOW releases on May 1, 2020.
