The best way to kill off something un-killable like a Ghost Rider is to never give it a chance at happening in the first place. This is exactly what the Disney-majority-owned Hulu has done.
According to Deadline, Hulu has cut ties with its planned GHOST RIDER series that would have featured actor Gabriel Luna reprising his role as Robbie Reyes who was a version of Ghost Rider in ABC's AGENTS OF SHIELD.
Deadline writes:
"Hulu in May picked up two new live-action series from Disney sibling Marvel Television, Ghost Rider and Helstrom, to premiere in 2020. While Marvel’s Helstrom is on track, I hear Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series."
It is unknown if the planned GHOST RIDER series will be shopped around to other Disney channels and outlets for a series pickup. Maybe Disney+ will be interested?
