Denzel Washington Confirms He Will be in BLACK PANTHER 3

According to legendary actor Denzel Washington on the Today Show (via THR), writer and director Ryan Coogler has written him a role for Marvel Studios' BLACK PANTHER 3.

"When asked about his future plans, Washington said that 'at this point in my career, I’m only interested in working with the best, I don’t know how many more films I will make, probably not that many. I want to do things that I haven’t done.'

"'I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70,' he continued. 'After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve McQueen about a film. After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.'"

As of the time this news broke, Marvel Studios has not yet placed BLACK PANTHER 3 on its future releases schedule. But this is as sure of a sign that the threequel will in fact be coming down the road after the events of AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY and AVENGERS: SECRET WARS
