CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Opens with $100 Million Domestic and $192M Worldwide

The numbers are in and over its four-day holiday weekend CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD has brought in nearly $200 million in worldwide ticket sales (via Deadline).

Domestically, $100M in box office ticket sales were brought in while overseas was a bit less taking in $92M in ticket sales.

Overall, the worldwide tally is $192M for the new Captain America feature film.

The big surprise here is the overseas number. Usually, International box office numbers are higher for Marvel Studios films than the domestic number. What happened here? Surely the professional box office experts will analyze and break down that answer.

Now the next big question is: Will Brave New World have legs in the coming weekend(s)?

There's a good chance it might with a slow slate of movie releases coming up. It is very likely this movie could top out around $350M-$400M worldwide range which is still off from the reported $425M it needs to hit in order to break even from all the production and marketing costs.
